Dealing with Bitterness!
Text: Matthew 6: 11-13
Have you ever had a situation where persons have constantly hurt you? Where you feel you are always taken advantage of? Where you are hurt and abused? The natural response is for you to hate, become angry and bitter against such persons.
The word of God constantly tells us as believers to be quick to forgive. You may ask-how can I forgive such persons? Isn’t that letting them off too easily? When we tell God to forgive us as we forgive others it is telling us that even as God is quick to forgive us so should we be quick to forgive others. When we forgive others it frees our hearts from all the anger inside and in so doing we please God. ‘For your emotional and spiritual health, you must let bitterness go.THOUGH FOR TODAY:
Be quick to forgive. The longer you wait, the harder it will be.
