Burden bearing and burden sharing!
Text: Galatians 6: 1-5 & Psalm 55: 22
The passages indicate that there are three types of burdens.
Galatians 6:2 teaches that there are some burdens that we should help our brothers and sisters to carry. This obviously means that when the cares of life become too burdensome for someone, we should seek to help. This we can do by sharing our knowledge and skills, our resources, our time and our strength with them.
In Galatians 6:5 is clearly stating that there are burdens that individuals must bear for themselves. It is indeed irresponsible and a shame if someone neglects family responsibilities and expect someone else to do it for them.
Still there are some cares of life that is beyond human to carry alone. It is in these times that Jesus will become our burden bearer. It is in these times we should cast our burdens upon the Lord and He will sustain you.
THOUGH FOR TODAY:
God has made provision for all burdens to be carried.
