IS THERE NO BALM IN GILEAD!
Text: Jeremiah 8:21-22
Gilead was a mountainous country that produces the balm tree. This tree has a resin that was used extensively as ointment for wounds to bring healing.
The children of Israel were experiencing spiritual wounds caused from their sinful condition. They were distressed and suffering. There seem to be no cure, no restoration, healing for their spiritual wounds. Worse of all there were no one, no Physicians (Spiritual) there even to apply the medicine to their wounds.
Today we have a society that is bleeding from wounds with no ointment or physician around to make a difference. Day by day we have seen these wounds in the form of moral spiritual decay in our homes, our schools and in our society. If you are a Christian you know and have the solution, yes his name is Jesus. He is still the answer for the today. Will you share Jesus with someone?
THOUGH FOR TODAY:
If there is no balm the people will die from their wounds.
