He is your comforter!
Text: Matthew 5:4
As I noted the pages of obituaries in the Sunday Gleaner, I reflected on the number of persons in our country who have lost loved ones during the week. I tried to imagine the heartache and the pain they are experiencing.
Today you may be one such person. You feel like you are alone in all of this and that nothing anyone could say or do can ease the pain of your loss. However, be encouraged today in the fact that Jesus promises to comfort those who mourn.
Jesus calls you “blessed,” that is to say you can experience hope, joy and peace regardless of your circumstances.
So in your grief remember that Jesus is your comforter.
