Praise Him in spite of!
Text: Psalm 57: 7-11
This Psalm was written at a time when David was being pursued by Saul. He was said to be hiding in a cave and as he sat there he cried out to God to save him out of his situation. David recognized that it was not easy to praise God in such a situation. His soul was getting despondent but He still reckoned that his help lied only in God. So He made a decision to deny the flesh and praise the Lord in spite of. Yes he felt weak but he told his soul to AWAKE! He told his instruments to awake and praise God.
What situations are you faced with today? Is it proving difficult to praise God while going through it? I challenge you to command your soul to praise God as David did. As children of God our praise should be consistent, not just when everything is going well but rather we should praise God anytime in everything.
THOUGH FOR TODAY:
Today I chose to praise God no matter what I am faced with.
