God-A Consistent Friend!
Text: Psalm 71:5
We must admit that we are living in a time when integrity is lacking especially among leaders. Others will argue that even those who are supposed to be a friend will disappoint and let us down at times. It leads one to believe that there is no one in whom we can really trust.
Isn’t it reassuring to know that we can trust God in every area of our lives? The Psalmist expressed that confidence in God. He recognized that God was His sovereign Lord; his hope in a hopeless world, his consistent friend. It was J. Oswald Saunders who said “There is no conceivable situation in which it is not safe to trust God.”
As you face the challenges of this life may you endeavour today to embrace the Lord as your true and consistent friend?
