The fate of those who fight against you!

Text: Exodus 14:13-14

There are times in the believers’ life when one feels like they are constantly being pursued by the enemy. He often works through those around us-a co-worker, a past foe, a family member or even a friend. The effort they expend to see that you are brought down is sometimes unbelievable. Most times you can’t even find a just cause for their behaviour. At times you feel you have gotten away from their scheming plans to destroy you but alas, here they come again with another attempt.

The children of Israel felt the same way. After being enslaved by the Egyptians for so many years, finally God delivered them. Oh what a celebration! But then here they were standing in fear because their enemies had set out after them. Didn’t God promise to deliver them? Why then were they being pursued?

But again God stepped in to remind them “Do not be afraid. Stand firm...the Egyptians you see today you will never see again.”

The promise is the same for you today.

THOUGH FOR TODAY:
Do not be afraid! God will deliver you from your enemies.
